Investigators looking into eight separate fires in Lynn during the month of May have determined that these fires were intentionally set, causing about 400 acres of land to burn, State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey's office said Wednesday. Fires that broke out in Lynn on May 12, May 13 and May 17 are being looked at by investigators with the Lynn Fire Department and the Massachusetts State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit assigned to the state fire marshal's office as 'suspicious,' according to a joint statement from Lynn Fire Chief Daniel Sullivan, Department of Conservation and Recreation Chief Fire Warden David Celino and State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey.
